Abstract

|
Gasgangrene is a very rare infection, but recently its incidence is slightly increased due to
major trauma and using the cytotoxic drugs, immune suppuressive agents and antibiotics. We had experienced a case of gas gangrene which had developed suddenly in a closed inter
trochanteric fracture of the left femur during skeletal traction on a 62-year-old man. The
symptoms and signs were developed posttrauma twelfth day. And the patient was died 35
hours after the initial symptoms.
